What will I do with my HAIR?!?!

bun and braid

Locks of Elegance has a good selection of easy to do yourself hair tutorials, conveniently  divided into eras. The styles are simple and well explained, though unless you have naturally curly hair, several of the styles will be easier to manage if you first set your hair on hot rollers,  curl with a wand, or leave in plaits over night for some texture.

There is also a wealth of information from the Oregon Regency Society on styles for different lengths of hair.

Add some scraps of lace, some ribbon, or a few pearl beads and this simple braided do will look just the ticket..

Super easy up do with a headband!

If you are having a bad hair day, or you have super short hair – whip out your prettiest scarf and go the turban look! 🙂

Curls are so much fun.

Here is an easy way of doing rag curls, with a photo of the end result.

'dead-easy rag curls'

Or a different way! With this rag technique, there is a lot more fiddling around, but you can get a few different styles of curls – the softer, looser kind as shown here –

Or tighter, sprongier curls. (Sprongy is a word, right?)

This video is a cute idea for an up-do – I would probably curl the ends, to make it a more formal style.

Or you could have just a cute bun like this:

Or like this…

You could find a ribbon that goes with your dress, and use that.

This video has a bunch of cute options.

Happy hairstyling!
